i'm sick... AGAIN... cos vic and doro, both sick also.. then i think, i caught the virus from them ar.. hahaa.. so now like, the 3 of us are coughing and sneezing together.. spreading the germs around the class.. haha.. but i have to get well real soon.. my weekends are packed with activities.. i need to be healthy to enjoy them.. gosh.. haha..
anyway, today's thursday once again.. which means organic chem prac.. which means meliati.. hahaa.. she has no idea what she's doing.. seriously.. people wear 3/4 pants in lab, wear slippers she never say anything.. and when my class ask her to explain why starting material is more soluble than the end product, even thought water was removed from the starting product to form end product.. she just said.. "because it's more soluble lor.." like.. wth.. what's the rationale behind it? she can't explain.. my friend ask her why.. she show my friend the ans sheet.. which just had one line saying it's more soluble.. ask my friend to read.. then my friend read it silently, she ask her to mouth the words.. what the.. reading, don't need to mouth de lor.. simple sentences, don't need to mouth de ma.. like kindergarten kids like that.. need to mouth the words.. then, there were error in everyone's expt.. apparently, the filter paper weighed before was heavier than when we finished filtering the solution and drying the filter paper with the ppt.. so.. some groups decided to redo the expt.. and meliati was like.. "why you all want to redo.. you know phenol is very toxic.. why you all want to stand there, breathe it in.. take other people's result la.. come, faster.. let's get out of the lab.. the air here is toxic.." our reply "but we got error in expt.. so do again la.. get the right result ma.." her reply " don't need la.. faster.. let's go out.. why you all want to breath in the phenol so much.. can die one lei" and she just walked out of the class like that, when she realised none of us were packing and leaving.. so.. one happy person (*ahem, yours truly) shouted, "we professional ma.. want to get correct results.. want to do the expt correctly ma.. don't know where we went wrong lei.. how come result wrong.. furthermore, we're scientists.." another happy person shouted," the phenol in the fume hood eh.." and the third happy person shouted," we're born in the lab, we live in the lab, and we'll die in the lab.." hahaa.. and so.. we continued redoing our expt, without her in the lab... apparently, she left us to do alone what.. keke..
had biostats tutorial after that.. the tutor went crazy or something.. cos my class wasn't responding to his qns.. so he showed attitude.. said that he'll just do SILENT movie.. meaning.. he'll just write the solutions on the board, erase.. write the next one, erase.. while we remain in absolute silence.. then when someone asked him to explain.. he refused.. quoting him "i teach 4 biostats classes here.. and not to be mean and all.. but i enjoyed teaching the other 3.. for you all, i have to shout and you still don't listen to me.. maybe i should quit teaching here next year.." wth.. attitude sia..
one sucky teacher after another.. oh well.. i'll just have to depend on other lecturers, my friends and myself to do well le lor.. keke..
